As we continue the push towards a final cut of our film, we find ourselves compelled–nearly obsessed–with the last minute scrounging of B-Roll…that all important footage needed for visuals of dialog or to be placed over cut and fractured video clips.Today we visited a yard waste composting site in order to recreate 10 seconds of “landfill” footage. Having saved our garbage up for over the last three weeks (which really wasn’t that much since we recycle and compost), we had ample raw materials from which to “set decorate” the location. Of course, once the footage was shot, we cleaned up our mess and disposed of the refuge properly.
